Project 01 | Black Women Most Likely Murdered
US Black women are murdered on average 6 times and upward of 20 times the rate of their white peers. These deaths are preventable. There is an urgent need to address long-standing inequities that underpin their deaths. Our groundbreaking research in The Lancet uncovers these startling statistics and offers recommendations for implementing fixes.

Project 02 | Black Women Survivors' Help Seeking
US Black women disproportionately experience the poorest outcomes resulting from intimate partner violence victimization. Yet, there is a dearth of theories that explicate their comprehensive help-seeking process that includes the domestic violence service provision system and the Black church. This 9-phase framework identifies their psychosocial help-seeking process and related needs.

Project 03 | Batterer Programs Fail Black Men
Black men are dropping out of batterer intervention programs at rates that mirror the homicide rate among Black women. Despite well-known gaps within this system, it continues to fail Black men who inflict violence upon their partners. This study interrogates current batterer programs and delineates current treatment gaps
